Carob Pie

This Carob Pie couldn't be tastier - or quicker, since it needs no pie crust.  A warm piece of this dessert with whipped cream or ice cream is a decadent treat.  It can even be eaten cold, as finger food!  As well as being delicious, this pie is a healthy dessert.  The main ingredient  is high in protein, low in fat, and high in calcium, B vitamins, and magnesium.  Enjoy!

           

 

   

 

  Preheat oven to 350F/175C.

 

   

 

   

3/4 cup

 

175 mL

carob powder

  Process in blender until

1/2 cup

  125 mL

honey

  smooth.

1/2 cup

  125 mL

butter, softened

eggs

   

1 tsp

  5 mL

vanilla

   

 

   

 

   

 

   

 

   

 

   

 

  Pour into greased pie plate.

 

   

 

  Bake 20-25 minutes or until

 

   

 

  centre of pie no longer looks
