Warm Fruit Crisp

This wonderful Warm Fruit Crisp is an easy dessert recipe that  makes a comforting fall or winter dessert.  You can use your favourite berries - or even substitute apples, peaches or cherries.  (My favourite combination is a mixture of raspberries and buleberries.)  Warm Fruit Crisp is delicious served with ice cream.

 

   

 

  Preheat oven to 375F/190C.

 

   

 

   

6 cups

  1.5 L

berries

  Put into a baking pan.

 

   

 

   

1/8 cup

  25 mL

maple syrup or honey

  Drizzle over berries.

 

   

 

   

1 cup

  250 mL

rolled oats

  Mix together in a bowl.

1 cup

  250 mL

flour

   

1/2 tsp

  2 mL

cinnamon

   

1/4 tsp

  1 mL

allspice

   

1/4 tsp

  1 mL

nutmeg

   

1/4 tsp

  1 mL

salt

   

1/3 cup

  75 mL

butter, melted

   

 

   

 

   

 

   

 

  Spoon oat mixture over berries.

 

   

 

  Pat down firmly.

 

   

 

   

 

   

 

  Bake 35-40 minutes
(uncovered), until berries are
bubbly and top is light brown.
